How do I change my plan?

In this story

Before you start

Your site must be live and paid up. If the page says Your plan can’t be changed right now, it tells you why.

Move to a bigger plan

  1. Open My sites and tap your site. On the Your plan card, tap Upgrade. The Change plan page opens.
  2. Read the plan list. Your current plan is marked Your current plan. A bigger plan shows an up arrow and the features you gain.
  3. Add a coupon or use your wallet in Discounts and wallet, if you have them.
  4. Tap Upgrade · pay … on the plan you want. The price shown is what you pay today: the difference for the days left in this month.
  5. Complete the payment. The page says Payment received: your new plan is on. The new features reach your site within a few minutes. Your invoice is in your email.

Move to a smaller plan

  1. On the Your plan card, tap Lower my plan. On the Change plan page, tap Move to … at renewal on a smaller plan.
  2. The box lists features that stop working on the renewal date. Tick each one to confirm. A feature can be kept as an add-on for its own monthly price. Tap Keep it to choose that.
  3. Tap Move to and the plan's name.
  4. Your site moves on your renewal date. Nothing changes before then. Your content and settings stay on your server.
  5. To change your mind, use the notice at the top of the page that says your site moves to the smaller plan. It lets you cancel the move until your renewal. Then the page says Your plan stays as it is.

Good to know

  • A plan that needs a bigger server says so. Write to support to move first.
  • A plan that is not priced in your country shows Not priced in your country.
  • Need just one feature? Add it on its own. How do I buy an add-on?
  • The plan page shows monthly prices. The Your plan card shows if you are billed monthly or yearly.
  • After a change, the Your plan card may say Updating your site… for a few minutes. If your server is offline, Keynate keeps trying and finishes when it is back.
  • A coming change shows on the card, for example "Changes to … on …" and how many features switch off then.

Common problems

  • "A change to your plan couldn’t finish on your site yet." Your site and data are safe. Keynate keeps trying. Tap See your add-ons to check, or contact support if it stays.
  • "We’re confirming your payment." It usually takes a minute. Your plan changes as soon as the payment is confirmed.
  • A refund of an upgrade. If a failed upgrade is refunded, the activity list says "Your upgrade was refunded: your site is back on …".
